Based in the Portland, Oregon area, we provide training, coaching, and editing services to business professionals, corporations, and institutions around the world.
Apicality was founded in 2014 as an outgrowth and extension of the communication consulting and editing services that founder Jessica Ordonez has been providing to international clients since 2006. Having witnessed the transformational power of customized writing workshops and coaching sessions, we’re committed to bringing those services to a larger audience of business professionals.

Jessica has more than 15 years of communication experience in the private and not-for-profit sectors. Her passion for teaching others to improve their writing has led her to conduct tailored workshops for native and non-native speakers representing the World Bank, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Scotiabank, and other institutions in Peru, Mexico and the United States. She also serves as an MBA Writing Coach for The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and teaches management writing workshops and provides coaching services for MBA students as a Contributing Assistant Professor of Management Communication at Willamette University’s Atkinson Graduate School of Management. Jessica holds an MBA from Willamette University and two undergraduate honor degrees from Oregon State University.
